Although Provincetown is located at the very tip of Cape Cod, it is easily accessible by car, bus, ferry, and air. Once you are in Provincetown, you really don’t need a car. Walk or ride a bike to anywhere. But if that’s not your pleasure, there are several cab companies, pedicabs, and a subsidized shuttle bus that can take you wherever you wish to go.
Provincetown is only a 2.5 hour drive from Boston and Boston’s Logan Airport and 2.5 hour drive from Providence and Providence’s T.F. Green Airport.
Plymouth and Brockton buses travel regularly from Boston to Provincetown. It’s a nice way to see the South Shore and Cape Cod without having to drive. Visit - http://www.p-b.com

From May through September, you can take a high-speed ferry from Boston to Provincetown. There is also Capt. John Boats ferry that runs between Plymouth MA, and Provincetown.
For a real treat, take a plane from Boston’s Logan Airport via Cape Air to Provincetown. The flight is only 20 minutes but the view of Provincetown and Cape Cod is fantastic.Visit - https://www.capeair.com/
Travel from anywhere in the US to Provincetown on Amtrak. Amtrak arrives at South Station in Boston and there are easy connectors to the Plymouth Brockton bus, the high speed ferries terminals, or Logan Airport where you can take a Cape Air flight to Provincetown. Visit - http://www.amtrak.com/home
